It requires a team of volunteers to make Nest Academy a long-term program integrated with RVA.  Below are some areas where volunteers can assist, but the options are endless so contact us to discuss the best match for you.  Most volunteer opportunities can be done in just 1-2 hours.

• Guest speakers - Have a hobby our members may be interested in learning about?  Join our class for a short presentation with an interactive activity (show-n-tell, videos, music).  Contact us to discuss the best methods to present to our class and maximize engagement.

 

• Virtual Office Support - Just like any business, paperwork and administrative duties take up lots of staff time so we are always looking for virtual volunteers to help. From the convenience of your home, you can support Nest, without leaving the house.  Contact us to discuss your interests and skills to find the best assignment for you, ranging from a hour project to a long term assignment, depending on your preference. 

 

• Classroom Support - Help with set up and take down, student check-in, class photos and posting to Facebook and other tasks.

 

• Community Outreach - Help us get our name out by talking with local businesses.  Share our mission and those we serve.
